“Judgment” adapted for the stage by Betty Cooper Hirt from the short story by Ferrol Sams

From one of the South’s best loved authors comes a hilarious tale that illuminates the human mind and spirit. Ruthie Lee truly believes in the Lord and the Methodist Church and does not take much of anything – including herself- too seriously. When she finds herself alone in church after services she shares stories of her community, pastors – past and present and herself. Ferrol Sams probes deeply into the irony, humor and fickleness of humankind and comes up with precious nuggets of universal truth. This show features Jill Jane Clements as Ruthie Lee.

Performances are Thursdays – Saturdays @ 8:00 and Sundays @ 3:00. A matinee has been added for Wednesday, June 16 @ 10:30 a.m. All performances are in the ART Station Theatre located at 5384 Manor Drive in Historic Stone Mountain Village.

For additional information, visit ART Station.

Tiger! Tiger! Live At The Earl On April 22, 2010

Formed after the collapse of The White Lights, Tiger! Tiger! is the second out-from-behind-the-drums and up-front band from Subsonics drummer Buffi Aguero.

While Atlanta's Tiger! Tiger! take a love for 60's garage, Velvet Underground and Motown as their inspiration, they manage to not limit themselves to the constraints and dogmas usually associated w/ those genres. The result is a timeless blend of old and new but all rock 'n roll.

See Tiger! Tiger! live at the Earl in East Atlanta on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Visit The Earl for more info.
