Contemporary Cuban Art at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art on display through Sunday, December 6, 2009.

Oglethorpe University's Museum of Art currently has an unique exhibit of over 60 works by 28 contemporary Cuban artists that have been selected and co-curated from the Center for Cuban Studies in New York and The Collection of Shelley & Donald Rubin. This exhibition is the first public display of this group of works and the first American presentation of many of the works.

The artists live and work in Cuba, the United States and internationally. Some artists represented have achieved international renown, and others are almost unknown outside of Cuba. This exhibit ranges from the most popular to the most intellectual tastes and features work from self-taught and highly trained artists.
