The 74th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival At Piedmont Park This Weekend (April 16, 17 & 18)

April 16, 17 & 18 at Piedmont Park

With springtime temperatures and the Dogwood trees in full bloom, Atlanta is once again home to the 74th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival. This popular festival is located at Piedmont Park (Midtown Atlanta) just outside of Atlanta's DeKalb County. It is one of the largest and most diverse juried arts festivals in the country.

More than 250 artists from around the country exhibit in 12 categories, including painting, glass, clay, wood and mixed media. Some of the country’s top painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftsmen, glass blowers and more will be participating in the 2010 Dogwood Festival Artist Market. In 2006, the Artist Market was ranked #16, out of the Top 200 Shows in the Country by Sunshine Artist's Magazine.

In addition to variety of art on display, there is always plenty of entertainment including live music at the festival. Visitors can also explore the International and Eco Villages and sample some of the great festival foods.

Atlanta's DeKalb County has accommodations to fit every budget if you are coming into town this weekend. Visit our website at www.dcvb.org for a complete listing of hotels and additional nearby attractions and events.
