2009 Brookhaven Arts Festival Musical Lineup


The annual Brookhaven Arts Festival on October 17th and 18th will include over 130 local and regional artists and attracts an estimated crowd of over 10,000 visitors. The Festival is held on Apple Valley Road, directly behind the Brookhaven MARTA Station.

Saturday, October 17th

11:30-12:30: Berné solo
Berné is "Frenchy" in the beloved band, Cowboy Envy, and will soon be singing with Darryl Rhodes and The Hahavishnu Orchestra at the Variety Playhouse. She has opened for artists such as Odetta, Shelby Lynn and Tom Rush. You can find her performing weekly at "Giverny" and "Rotagilla".

12:45 PM: Berné and Dan Trio
Berné and Dan have been performing their special jazz style at Rotagilla New Orleans Cafe for over a year. Her beautiful, warm voice and his elegant jazz piano style will delight the crowd.

3:00 PM: Old Men in the Basement
Brookhaven's own Old Men in the Basement will begin at 3 pm and extend their playing time at the Block Party beginning at 6:30 PM. "More fun than a "DJ" and quite polite! A fun bunch of regular guys back for their 5th year playing your Classic Rock favorites for all to enjoy!

Sunday, October 18th

12:00 PM: The Right NOW Blues Band
Tommy Vickery will be joined by some of Atlanta's best musicians playing "Funky Blues" for your enjoyment.

3:00 PM: Terry Lee and the GT'S
"The Hardest Working Band in SOUL BUSINESS", playing Blue eyed soul, classic and 80's Rock.
