The Decatur Wine Festival: Metro Atlanta’s Largest Outdoor Wine Festival Slated For November 7

Taste more than 350 wines from around the globe, sample fare from Decatur’s finest eateries, and listen to live jazz and blues at the 2009 Decatur Wine Festival. The annual event, metro Atlanta’s largest outdoor wine festival, is Saturday, November 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the Old Courthouse Square in downtown Decatur.

This year’s music line-up features the Heaven Davis Band, Ernie Quarles and Shaun Anderson.

The Decatur Wine Tasting Festival was created by the owners of Sage on Sycamore and Birdi's restaurants and the Decatur Arts Alliance as a fundraiser and an opportunity to showcase Decatur as a food and wine destination. Decatur already had numerous fine dining restaurants and the Decatur Wine Tasting Festival helped establish Decatur as a wine destination and raise money for local arts organizations. The event has evolved into the single most important fundraiser for the Decatur Arts Alliance.
