10th Annual Little Five Points Festival and Parade Returns October 15-16, 2010

Get ready to get in the Halloween spirit with Atlanta’s most eclectic festival and parade! Come experience the 10th Annual Little Five Points Festival and Parade on October 15 – 16, 2010.

The Little 5 Points Halloween Festival & Parade is the signature Halloween festival in the Southeast and one of the top ten Halloween events in the country. It is staged in Little 5 Points, Atlanta’s premiere business, arts and music district. Each October, over 35,000 people flock to Little 5 Points to enjoy great food and drink, live entertainment and the best Halloween parade in the South!

Events during the day include:

Saturday, Noon to 10 p.m. -Food Vendors with a variety of offerings and treats along Euclid Avenue

Saturday, Noon to 10 p.m. – Artists Market on Colquitt Avenue, just off Euclid near the Yacht Club

Dunwoody Music Festival - October 23 and 24, 2010 At Brook Run Park

The Dunwoody Music Festival takes place in the City of Dunwoody bringing in more than 20,000 people and more than 40 musical artists. During this two day event, visitors will enjoy two full days of music including country, rock, jazz, blues and more.

There will be 2 stages, with approximately 20 plus performances, throughout Saturday and Sunday. There will be a chili cook off, for the professional and one for the amateur, and an adult beverage area. There will be activities for kids of all ages, including rides and a climbing wall. Mayhem In The Mansion - October 22, 2010 At Callanwolde Fine Arts Center

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center will be the glamorous setting for a fun-filled fundraiser, Mayhem in the Mansion – A Night of Deadly Dealing, Friday, October 22 at 8 pm.

Casino night takes a gothic turn as the Callanwolde Mansion dresses up for Halloween. Enjoy gaming tables, dancing, and treasures from the auction until midnight. Hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer, dessert and coffee will keep you fueled. If you love your costume, wear it; if not, just dress to kill. All proceeds for this event will benefit the Callanwolde Dance Ensemble.

DeKalb Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) will host a free Family Reunion Planning Workshop on Saturday October 9, 2010 at the Hilton Garden Inn Stonecrest to assist families in planning and organizing their reunions in DeKalb County.

DCVB offers a variety of free services to enhance family reunions, including providing free Welcome Bags for the entire family.

The workshop will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Stonecrest 7890 Mall Ring Road Lithonia, GA 30038.
