Stone Mountain Highland Games: October 17 - 18

For over 37 years, the picturesque grounds of the Stone Mountain Park meadow, a short drive northeast of Atlanta, Georgia, have resounded with the sounds of bagpipes, fiddles and harps during the third weekend in October.

This year once again, thousands of Scots (even those that wish to be 'Scot for the Day') from around the world will don their family tartans and gather to greet old friends and make new ones too.

Here is a breakdown of weekend activities:

Saturday:
Highland Athletics, Pipe Band Competition, Highland Dancing, Massed Band Performances, Musical Stages, Falconry Exhibit, Children's Activities and Scottish Evening

Sunday:
Kirking of Tartans, Highland Athletics, Pipe Band Performances, Highland Dancing, Parade of Tartans, Sheepdog Demonstration, Falconry Demonstration, Musical Stages and Children's Activities
